Erika Bengtson, MD is a family medicine physician with training in general surgery and primary care. Born and raised in Northern Idaho, Dr. Bengtson developed an early appreciation for physicians with a broad scope of practice. She earned her undergraduate degrees in Biology and Microbiology from the University of Idaho and received her medical degree from the University of Utah School of Medicine. Dr. Bengtson completed three years of residency training in General Surgery at the University of Texas at Austin before rediscovering her passion for primary care and transitioning into Family Medicine training at the same institution. She is passionate about providing comprehensive, patient-centered care with special interests in women’s health, obesity management, perioperative care, and in-office procedures.
